I can't imagine how far the Vikings would fall...



...if these two essential pieces of Minnesota (Favre and Pat Williams) decided to retire. They wouldn't freefall below a .500 record because they still have plenty of talent on both sides of the ball, but they will not see the NFC championship game next year if they do not retain Favre and Williams. Tavaris Jackson is not Aaron Rodgers, so the Vikings should be sweating Favre's decision. Williams doesn't exactly have a solid stand-in either. All I know is that the Vikings are hoping to get a solid answer from both players as to what their plans are for next season before the draft. Otherwise, it's back to being a team that barely makes the playoffs.
