Better QB in 5 years? My boy JC, or New Chief MC.?

Let's just see......

Shall We?

As I'm showering this morning and listening to Colin Cowherd on ESPN radio, I hear a lot of badly used stats which then leads to badly made opinions.

People are actually getting convinced by ESPN and other football experts (?) that Matt Cassel is a better QB than JC.

And everyone knows who JC is......... Anyhew....

People like Colin are slurping the Gatorade of using basic STATS without studying the back story of why.

OK, let's start with the draft. Cutler was a top 11 pick in his draft, and Cassel didn't make the top 180 players selected in his draft............... And I know, some will say to refer to Tom Brady, but how many Tom Brady's have there been in the 6th round? None to very little!

Secondly....... The opposite side of the ball. Defense doesn't mean anything. ..........Oh Wait.......Who won the Superbowl 3 out of the last 4 times? The Steelers and the Giants! And what kind of teams are they? It's a rhetorical question, please don't answer......

What I'm saying is that Cutler has played with debatably the worst defense in the league in the past two years. He has had to carry the team on his back in order to produce victories and outscore the other team. And the other teams usually run up the score on our SORRY D.

He is being evaluated on his 17-20 record as a starter in the last couple of years, and it's the biggest mockery of evaluating a QB I've ever seen or heard. Meanwhile, Cassel played with a legitimate Top 10 Defense this last year, going 11-5. Oh, and I left out one detail........... He played with debatably the best receiver and Head Coach in the last decade. But that doesn't make any difference. Right?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Colin, and the rest of you cynical folk............ Take Matt "The Belichick Fluke" Cassel

Meanwhile, I'll take my lowly pro-bowler JC, and I'll see ya in 5 years...........

Ask Kornheiser.......

So sad to see your love affair with Colin Cowherd come to an end...

Just playing devils advocate here, because I agree with you that Cutler has more talent than Cassel, but draft position means nothing after four years in the NFL.

Kurt Warner
Tony Romo
Antonio Gates
Jake Delhomme
Priest Holmes
Willy Parker
Rod Smith
Pat Williams
Wes Welker

... all undrafted!

T.J. Housh and Marques Colston were drafted in the 7th round.

The list of first round QB busts?

Heath Shuler
Dave Brown
Rick Mirer
Ryan Leaf
Akili Smith
Dan McGwire
Todd Marinovich
Tommy Maddox
Jim Druckenmiller
Chad Pennington
Patrick Ramsey
Kyle Boller
Rex Grossman
JP Losman
Michael Vick
Andre Ware
David Klingler
Cade McNown

I'm sure there are many more, and that's only going back into the 90's.
