WELP, Bye JC.......... Written by Pat Bowlen and JM.....
WELP........ It was fun while it lasted JC........ And I am a bit perturbed that the relationship got rocky and then got even worse as the two sides came to verbal blows. I would've been stoked to have JC back in the lineup because he is a smooth operator in the pocket and can throw a better ball than any QB debatably. But ..........
Let's look at the BIGGER picture....
Roethlisberger has two rings on his fingers in the last 4 years. Period.
Big Ben is a GOOD quarterback....... Not a top 3 quarterback like Brady, Manning, and Brees. And from that list, Drew Brees has never won a Superbowl....
If you break it down, Big Ben has THE BEST defense, and a solid running game. All Ben has to do is throw high completion rate short passes to tight ends and tight route receivers, and limit the turnovers.
With all this said..... As I've said before, I think Brady Quinn could be a solid candidate for a trade because he is a high completion rate, intelligent QB with a couple years of experience under the belt.
Plus........... Then we could have a ball slinger in Denver that says "Now I'm done" every commercial break.

Blake vs Tyler............Kinda disappointing.....
I was anticipating this game all of last night, and at my random trip to a church this morning. But when I settled in, cracked open a bomber of New Belgium Lips of Faith, and put my ankles up on the coffee table............I was let down. Not thoroughly, but enough. Blake didn't even score until 10 minutes into the game, and it never really got too close. Just got Hans BRO and some fundamentals. Well, as long as a team gets it done it doesn't matter how pretty it is.
At least Tiger's double pump and caddy hug were worth waiting for.......

Shane.......... I Still remember the Gaffney's and myself idolizing you...
Shane McConkey died today. One of the my all time Skiing heroes. I believe I read that his parachute didn't work when he was doing a base jump in Italy.
I really haven't thought about Shane lately being that I live in Southern California, and that my skiing is down to once a year. But, back in college at CU Boulder, when I was skiing 35 times a year and attempting 720's off jumps.....I idolized Shane because he was fearless. If you ever get a chance to check "Walls of Freedom" you will see one of the greatest ski moments ever when Shane throws a backflip dropping 50 feet off the cliffs of the Palisades in CA. Just AWESOME..... Anyhow, on a final note, Shane's passing reminds me of my late friend Terry. Miss ya brother.

Texans RB Moats should be awarded a free right cross on Officer Powell....
Officer Robert Powell should have to stand there in the street and take Texans' Ryan Moats' best right cross.
Base Facts: Ryan Moats and his wife/family were rushing to the hospital to see his mother-in-law because they were informed she was dying quickly from the later stages of breast cancer. Moats ran a red light on the way to the hospital and Officer Powell pulled Moats over. Once Moats stopped, he contended to the officer that a relative was dying in the hospital quickly. Officer Powell then threatened to arrest Moats and tow his car, meanwhile pointing a gun at his wife and saying "I can screw you over."
Once the other officer confirmed that Moats' Mother-in-Law was indeed dying, Officer Powell said "I'm almost done."
Moats Mother-in-law died while he was in the parking lot.......
You tell me what should be done to Officer Powell?!

Colin........ Why the flippy floppy opinion of Cutler?
Colin...... Ya my boy BLUE! But PLEASE buddy, make up your mind! Which is it? Cutler GOOD? Or Cutler MEDIOCRE? I've heard you analyze JC both ways now. Today you actually praised him, and said that his 17-20 record was not a good representation of his skill and talent because Denver's D was not up to snuff. Yet, a couple weeks ago I was hearing you speak solely of how his W-L record speaks for itself, and that he should not be acting like he is a valuable QB.
All I want is consistency my BROTHA........ I'll give ya a mulligan on this one, just don't hit one in the rough again.
And by the way Colin...... In the Superbowl of cereals, I disagree. The two tops seeds that would face off would be Cocoa Krispies and Frosted Flakes. Cocoa Krispies would pull away in the end and take the MILK................ HAHAhahahaha

JC isn't going to play for us??........ Bring on Mr. "Now I'm Done"
David Wright makes US respectable again....
D Wright actually pulled us through in the WBC after bringing Team USA from behind to win over Puerto Rico 6-5. Can't believe how much of a good luck charm my blog has been for the home team........... Maybe the BAMF's I thought we had are going to start showing up down the stretch of this tournament. MAYBE.

JC........ Starting to fade in my mind.......
I'm a big Donkeys fan, and JC has been my boy. MY BOY. But as people that I know ask me how I feel about my QB today............ He's already gone in my mind.....
There's a small Possibility that the Donkeys could make amends with JC, but it's not looking great. I mean, JC has put both houses he owns on the market and announced publicly he wants to be traded. OK. BYE. Next Question. Which is: Bradie Quinn, Jeff Garcia, Derek Anderson, Chris Simms, Matthew Stafford, Mark Sanchez? What a great thought.......HA.....nope.....

US Baseball...........Pretty pathetic........
Just saw that Jeter and the rest of the United States CHUMPS lost 11-1 to Puerto Rico, and that it was by the mercy rule............ What a bunch of girls!! I'm ashamed to have a Dodgers jersey! But then again, my Dodgers jersey is a Russell Martin jersey.......who is Canadian. So I feel a little better.......

The New Cold War in D Town.........
It's Cutler's move tomorrow............. All I keep hearing is how bad the words are right now between JC and JM. What the hell JC? Can't a guy like myself sit in peace on a Sunday and watch Woods play golf with some scotch/rocks and not worry about the unthinkable possibility of not winning the Superbowl this year? Gssh..........

Rey to the Donkeys? Apparently, according to most Mock Drafts
As I've been following mock drafts, the combine, and guys like Mel Kiper, I've found that the Broncos are obviously going with Rey Maualuga.
And assuming the Broncos don't make any huge trades, and the draft goes like most experts predict.................I think Rey is the pick. He is a solid player. This is the right move if there is not a top tier DT on the board, because the Broncos could then come back and find a way to trade up to the late first round to grab a DT like Peria Jerry from Ol' Miss. Maualuga seems to be a defensive playmaker, and source of energy. When I watched him play at USC he reminded me of Ray Lewis in how he attacks and makes impressionable big hits instead of just making a basic tackle. I love his "motor" as a lot of experts like to call it.
But then again...........if #1 rated B.J. Raji slides to the 12 spot, I think I take the DT..........
No offense Rey......

Tragic and Sad death.............
Charles "Mask" Lewis.................TAPOUT Founder
This guy, Charles Lewis was an interesting cat in how he conducted himself for the sake of his company. I passed by him plenty of times over the past couple of years, and he always caught my attention. I didn't know his personality at all, but an interesting guy nonetheless.
Just tragic and senseless.........

JC watches over troubled JC
UFL?????????
I hear rumors.......... And those rumors are true...........Denny Greene will be coaching, and Michael Vick MIGHT be playing. 4 Teams: New York, Orlando, Las Vegas, and San Francisco.
I first heard this story this morning on Colin's show on ESPN Radio. One of Colin's guests said it best, "Trying to challenge the NFL is like deciding to move to New Jersey and pick a fight with Tony Soprano." BUT...... They could find themselves a small niche. Las Vegas and Orlando don't have football, and New York/San Francisco are big markets that could support another team and be profitable. The games will be on Thursday and Friday nights in October and November, and there will only be 6 regular season games for each team. It's possible that people, like myself, that love football might tune in because of the off nights they play. They've got a small, tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny chance of succeeding......... Especially in this economy.
I'm just waiting for the glorious day when Tim Couch throws an interception to Pacman Jones, and Michael Vick hands the ball off to Maurice Clarett for no gain.........

RAMPAGE VS RASHAD!!!!! I can't wait for this
As both pictures show.......... Both beat the hell out of Chuck.
As for both of their fights with Forrest Griffin: Rashad got the victory, and Rampage lost by a debatable decision.............
Slight edge to Rashad...........
Overall record: Rashad is unbeaten in 14 fights.......... Yet, his only REAL fights were Chuck Liddell, Forrest Griffin, and Tito Ortiz; ....and he fought Tito to a draw.
Meanwhile, Rampage has only lost once (by a weak decision to Griffin) since 2005, but he does have 7 losses in his career. Overall he is 30-7. He has fought guys like Wanderlai Silva 3 times, Sakuraba, Dan Henderson, Keith Jardine, Griffin, Liddell, Matt Linland, and Kevin Randleman. So thus, he has more experience fighting ELITE fighters....
But..........because Rashad is unbeaten, technically, I gotta say........
Overall record: PUSH......
There are a couple of others factors like:
- Rashad trains with Keith Jardine, and Jardine just got hammered by Rampage.
- Rashad gives up two inches in height
If I am going with my gut, I think Rashad will be able to get a KO over Rampage.
It's all speculation............ But what is not speculation is that this should shape up to be a CLASSIC fight.....

TO and TE new BFF's??
Now that Buffalo has signed the best teammate a quarterback can have, anyone think Trent Edwards is really stoked to see his new "BOY" T.O. come to the pass-friendly town of Buffalo?
I guarantee you Trent Edwards just lost a year of his later life by hearing that gets to debate with a nice guy like Owens on whether his throws are good enough.......
Good Luck Trent.......... Double Down on 11......

MARTY TURCO IS A CHOKER!!
Photo from www.zimbio.com
I witnessed a lot of this last night in the third period of the Kings/Stars game.....
Actually, I'm just giving him a lot of undue flack...... The Kings had two 5 on 3 power plays at the end of regulation that gave them two goals to tie the game.
But he did choke in overtime...............
