McNabb is not an Eagle next year?

From what I'm reading and hearing, Donovan may have played his last year with the Eagles. Kevin Kolb is the man according to many of the Eagles players. Supposedly, the gap in age between the aging McNabb and the rest of the players on the team is starting to make the players relate more to the younger Kolb. The big question for Philly is: Will next year be a rebuilding year or can McNabb play at a high enough level to win a Superbowl? Personally, I don't believe McNabb can lead the Eagles to a title next year, so I would proceed to trade him and move forward with Kolb. That is just my amateur opinion...

Why is Mike Nolan out of Denver and immediately in Miami?

There doesn't seem to be any direct answer right now for the "friendly" parting of ways between Josh McDaniels and Mike Nolan. At this point, it's just a little frustrating that the Broncos have gone through 5 defensive coordinators in the last 5 years. I believe that Nolan was a step in the right direction for the new look Broncos, and I'm at a loss for why this move was made. Was Nolan unhappy with McDaniels? The only thing we do know is that Nolan didn't leave to move up the food chain and take a head coaching job, he landed in Miami almost immediately taking the same position he held in Denver as the Dolphins defensive coordinator. I intend to get to the bottom of this SOON!
It's swirling around that McDaniels will hire Dean Peas. Peas is the former New England Patriots defensive coordinator that McDaniels, while Patriots offensive coordinator, worked with when the Patriots went unbeaten in the regular season. Another ex-Patriot hired.... Surprise, surprise!!

Up In the Air: Great Movie, but slightly depressing...

When a movie's main character is a man that lays people off for a living, especially in these times, the movie can be a little bit of a downer; but George Clooney does a pretty good job in the movie of making people feel a little better about getting fired. Clooney is his usual charming,witty self, and he plays the character very well. I would recommend this movie because of the characters and witty comedy, but just make sure you go in knowing that it has some depressing segments.

What a shame!

I, and every other college football fan in America wanted to see a great clash of unbeaten powers in college football. We didn't get it.
Colt McCoy's injury in the first quarter was the nail in my tire while driving back from Las Vegas. No fun. The Longhorns still put up a reasonable showing with their backup QB, but all of the excitement was taken out of the game once Colt left the field. I still watched every play, but not with the same anticipation. Hopefully, next year will be a different story and Alabama might play Boise State with no fun-stopping injuries in the first quarter. So unsatisfied!

Lombardi died as a Redskins coach?!

I'm watching the history of the Washington Redskins DVD last night, and I was shocked that I didn't know that Vince Lombardi coached the Redskins for one season and died while he was still coaching. This fact adds more mystique, for me, to the Redskins legacy. Also, I recommend you all check out a linebacker named Chris Hanburger because every tackle he made would be a personal foul in football today. He literally tackled people by swinging for their heads. Awesome!

BMarsh goes for an NFL record 21 catches in a game! Does this mean we should pay him now?.... Ugh... Yeah

Brandon Marshall just broke Terrell Owens' record of 20 catches by catching 21 balls for 200 yards and two touchdowns, just in case you didn't hear about or watch the Broncos game. The man is an "after the catch yards god" as I can best describe him. The man needs to get paid by the Broncos, and the Broncos need to make up the new contracts soon before he decides to test free agency. Marshall will most likely have his third 100+ catch, 1200 yard season in a row. Pretty reasonable stat line.
